How to set up ET Social Login with Facebook?

  1. To create an application you must be logged in to your account or create a new one on facebook.com.

  2. You can create a new application on the developers website. A step-by-step guide with screenshots is available below.

    1. Click on the "My apps" and "Add a new app" buttons on the developers' site.

    2. Enter the App ID and your e-mail for feedback. Click on "Create App ID"

    3. Hover over "Facebook Login" in "Select a product" and click on "Set-up"

    4. Select the web "WWW" type of platform.

    5. Enter your site's address and save it. Go to "Settings" under the "Facebook login" Section.

    6. Here. in the "Valid OAuth redirect URIs" field, specify your site's URL and save the changes. Optionally you can enable "Login from Devices". After saving the setting you will need to got to "Settings".

  3. Copy the App ID and App Secret parameters from your application settings to the ET Social Login extension settings located in the admin panel of your website.

  4. We recommend you to fill the Comment field with the information about the social network account. E.g. email or name of the person who was creating the application. We had a lot of cases when shop owners wanted to make some changes and found out that they don't remember which account owns the application, so they were forced to create a new one.
